Vancouver-based software firm NexTech AR Solutions and Californian enterprise video solutions provider Jolokia have announced their collaboration to combine their individual expertise in their respective domains.

NexTech, which holds specialisation in web-based AR for eCommerce with technology ranging from simple 3D Images to hologram technology, will combine its skills with Jolokia’s secure, cognitive, and interactive video platform to expand its reach into the learning and development industry.

Evan Gappelberg, CEO of NexTech, said: “With our state-of-the-art AR combined with Jolokia’s best of breed video learning experience platform, we have the potential to transform the $366 billion dollar corporate training market. Over the coming weeks, Jolokia will be showcasing the new AR capabilities to its significant list of clients including many Fortune 100 companies. In the next few years as AR learning starts to accelerate it’s going to completely change the way employees learn on the job.”

Earlier this month, NexTech announced that Romios Gold Resources would be using its AR technology to demonstrate exploration projects. Romios contracted NexTech’s 3D/AR omnichannel services to help drive its marketing and client-education activities in 2020. NexTech’s AR technology would enable Romios to bridge the gap by exhibiting what actual core samples look like in 3D/AR for investors and potential investors creating a critical use case to Romios and the mining industry.

VR-powered clinical training firm Health Scholars successfully completed its series B funding round in January to the tune of $17 million (£13.1m), which would be utilised to expand its VR content library and further develop the virtual learning platform in hospital and public safety market enabling enterprise scale deployments and analytics, grow the go-to-market resources, and strengthen its IP base.
