3D property tours could be about to change the real estate business
Realvision has completed a $1.3 million round of seed funding to begin developing its 3D property tour product.
Realvision Tours will provide estate agents with a range of content marketing tools, including VR-ready, interactive 3D tours of available property and auto-generated floor plans.
“Our platform is engineered to beat tomorrow’s disruption today.” Realvision’s co-founder Bryn Erickson said.
“Tomorrow is a moving target and this funding will help us develop for the future and position our customers to be market leaders when it arrives.”
‘Unique image capture process’
The new suite of tools is built from the foundation of a single round of property photographs.
Realvision’s platform employs a unique image capture process to turn a single set of photgrapshs into a range of products such as VR tours using Oculus Rift and Google Cardboard (app releases for Samsung and HTC are expected soon) and auto-generated floor plans.
This capture process does not require the use of 3D hardware to capture the initial images, meaning that any real estate agent with a DSLR camera should be able to make use of the service.
Realvision has partnered with Spacecrafting, a real estate photography company.
“while any photographer can harness our technology,” Erickson continued. “our partners share our high standards and help us maintain the industry-leading quality of our tours.”
