Playstation VR Worlds announced for October release

Playstation VR is on the horizon, and with a few months to go its London Studio has released news about a sort of 'Wii Sports' like compendium of PS VR experiences.

Playstation VR Worlds will include five different VR games and expeirences and give first-timers, as well as those well-versed, a taste of what virtual reality is like.

The title will be launched 13 October and is set to come in at around £29.99 on the Playstation Store - you can also pre-order it from this week.

“We’ve explored what makes the best possible VR experience. The result is five purpose built, awesomely immersive VR experiences which will have you diving with a shark, playing futuristic sports, hurtling down a mountain road on a street luge, pulling off a diamond heist, and exploring space wreckage in a mechanical spider," according to a blog by lead designer Simon Hermitage.

The five experiences are:

The London Heist: Based in London's East End, you step into a gangster's shoes in a dramatic heist. This game also includes target practice and laser sights for those not familiar with traditional gaming, and PS VR leaderboards

Ocean Descent: A diving adventure with three different modes, where you meet some reactive sea wildlife and go on an adventure from within a shark cage

VR Luge: Fancy some illegal street racing? Good news, you'll be able to from within PS VR (legally!) with this game. Playstation's made it quite interactive with players having to complete all four tracks within a target time before they can get on the exclusive leaderboard

Scavenger's Odyssey: A space adventure where you become an alien, hunting for a mysterious artefact

Danger Ball: Think dodgeball in VR but with a twist - this one sounds like it will quickly become our favourite

One question that's roaming around about Playstation VR in general is how the Trophy system will work. But Hermitage blogged that by completing all five experiences you can make the game Platinum, meaning they have given it some thought. in hearing industry leaders discuss subjects like this and sharing their use-cases?
